Letter, 1849 Apr. 22.

Letter, dated 1849 Apr. 22, addressed by George White of Pomfret, New York, to his brother Moses T. White of Delta, New York, regarding Moses's son, Orson, and nephew, Wolcot (?), who have gone to California to prospect for gold. George White responds to Moses's fears, expressed in a previous letter, for the safety of "the Boys," stating that he glad they have gone to California and expressing his own interest in possibly following in their footsteps should their venture prove successful. The writer also requests that the boys be instructed to write him, and addresses a portion of his letter to his nephew, Otis, advising him not to rush into marriage.
